Tribute organized to remember tennis coach Pat Smith

A tribute celebrating the life and legacy of tennis coach Pat Smith was held at the Hershey Racquet Club on Sunday.

Smith, who passed away a few weeks ago, was the Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School tennis coach as well as running recreation leagues.

The celebration featured drinks, food, round-robin tennis, competitions, and a kids court with instruction, drills, games and prizes. All proceeds benefit the Pat Smith Scholarship Fund to support youth tennis.

Ben Bright, Smith’s protege, has taken over some of Smith’s tennis classes. Bright helped organize the event.
