Sinan Cem Tanik named Santa Margarita boys volleyball coach

Sinan Cem Tanik has been promoted to head coach of the Santa Margarita boys volleyball team.

Tanik was the junior varsity head coach last season and served as a varsity assistant.

He coached professional volleyball in Poland and Turkey and was on the men’s volleyball coaching staff at Concordia University of Irvine.

Tanik also has been added to the faculty at Santa Margarita where he will teach social studies.

Santa Margarita finished 14-9 overall last season. The Eagles were third in the Trinity League with a 5-3  record. They lost to eventual champion Tesoro in the second round of the CIF Southern Section Division 2 playoffs.
