Noteworthy: The freshman thrower placed second in the shot put with a toss of 42 feet, 5.5 inches at the CIF State Track and Field Finals. A week earlier, Johnson won the Masters Meet with a throw of 43-6. She also finished first in the shot put at the Mission League finals, and was the league champion in the discus with a throw of 131-10.
