HIGH SCHOOL GOLF: Southern's Scully takes title in Estill County

Madison Southern’s Clifton Scully took the individual title on Sunday at the Citizens Guaranty Bank Estill County Invitational in Irvine.

Scully shot a -3, 67, and beat out Justin Begley of Clay County by three strokes.

Kade Benton of Estill County and Reece Broughton of Pulaski County tied for third with scored of 72. Brayden Reed of South Laurel and Reece Nolan of Clay County both shot a 73.

The event was held at the Estill County Golf Club.

Two other golfers from Madison County competed in the event as individuals.

Madison Central’s Seth Barker shot a 76 and Madison Central’s Reece Keaton fired a 94.

Clay County took the team title with a score of 296. Pulaski County was second with a 302 and Estill County (308) took third place.
