Avon has another young men ball mentor.

Drew Schauss was endorsed by the educational committee as Avon’s mentor on Friday.

Schauss comes from Logansport, where he drove the Berries to a 20-26 record in the course of the last two seasons. “We are eager to report mentor Schauss as the following young men ball mentor at Avon High School,” athletic chief Josh Larsh said in a delivery. “His groups are known for their strength on protection and unselfish play. Mentor Schauss isn’t only a ball mentor however is focused on building a family environment inside the whole Avon athletic office.”

Schauss, 30, is a previous champion player at Centerville. He proceeded to play three seasons at Division II Brevard College (N.C.) prior to moving to NAIA Bethel College for his senior season. He then, at that point trained at Bethel, Holy Cross College and John Brown University (Ark.) prior to getting back to Bethel as a full-time associate. He was employed in 2019 to lead the Logansport program. The Berries were 11-12 last season.

Schauss will show actual schooling at Avon. He was an individual from the National Honor Society in school and procured acknowledgment as a NAIA Academic All-American.

“Regarded (school and secondary school) mentors complimented Drew’s abilities and capacities,” Avon head Matt Shockley said in a delivery. “Reference checks and the screening point to Drew having a ‘high roof’ as an instructor and a mentor. We are amped up for him joining our PE office and driving our young men ball program for quite a long time to come.”
