A roundup of Orange County girls basketball semifinals on Saturday in the CIF Southern Section playoffs:
DIVISION 4AA
Buena Park 59, Shalhevet 55: Freshman forward Bella Harmon sank a free throw with 10 seconds left to help seal the victory and send the visiting Coyotes (24-6) to the finals for the first time.
Buena Park will play No. 2 seed Rialto, a 70-43 winner against Silverado in the other semifinal, in the finals Feb. 25.
The Coyotes trailed 41-34 entering the fourth quarter.
DIVISION 5AA
St. Margaret’s 55, South Hills 39: Sophomore Harper Gideons scored 19 points and freshman Lila Wohlgemuth added 15 points as the visiting Tartans (26-6) reached their first section final.
Top-seeded St. Margaret’s will play third-seeded Gahr, a 39-38 winner against Marina in the other semifinal, in the finals Feb. 25.
DIVISION 2AA
Hart 68, San Juan Hills 65: Anna Shreeve scored 15 points to lead five players in double-figures but the host Stallions (25-6) fell one victory shy of reaching their first section final. Sydney Peterson had 11 points and 11 rebounds for San Juan Hills, which will play in the CIF State SoCal regionals.
