On the eve of the early college football signing period, Sacred Heart Cathedral linebacker RL Miller committed Tuesday to Fresno State.
“I would like to announce that I will be committing to the Fresno State University,” Miller wrote on his Twitter account. “I can’t wait to start this next chapter in my life!”
Ranked as a three-star recruit by 247, Miller also had offers from Pac-12 schools Arizona and Arizona State. He committed to Arizona State in June and withdrew his commitment two weeks ago.
Miller played linebacker and receiver for a Sacred Heart Cathedral team that went 6-5 and made it to the Central Coast Section Division I playoff.
According to statistics reported to MaxPreps, Miller grabbed five interceptions and ran them back for 143 total yards. He returned four of those interceptions for touchdowns. The linebacker accumulated 32 tackles and two forced fumbles.
The future Fresno State Bulldog also played wide receiver, and led the team with 687 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
Miller is the 14th player to commit to Fresno State, a class ranked as the 92nd best in the country. Miller joins Richie Anderson as the only linebackers in the group.
