CT Secondary School Golf Titles Chose In 4 Divisions Monday

Temperatures took off into the 90s when four CIAC secondary school golf titles had been closed Monday, however a few scores were more blazing than the playing conditions.

The Division I young men title was challenged at Tallwood Nation Club in Hebron, while Division II players teed it up at Timberlin Fairway in Kensington. Young men in Division III handled Stanley Fairway in New England, while Division II young ladies played at Farmington Woods Golf Club in Avon.

Matthew Doyle of Daniel Hand took low scoring respects with a sizzling 5-under standard 67 at Timberlin. Three different players broke standard: Brett Chodos of Friendship Local had a 2-under standard 70 at Tallwood, and Alex Elia of Wilton and Jonathan Bushka of Notre Woman West Shelter each shot 1-under standard 71 at Timberlin.

Division IV young men are booked to play Tuesday at Fairview Homesteads Fairway in Harwinton, while the Division I young ladies are scheduled for a Wednesday morning shotgun start at Verdant Slope Nation Club in Orange.
