800 High school football players coming to Hoover for Hustle Up 7-on-7

Around 800 secondary school football players from 10 states are coming to Hoover this week for the Hustle Up 7-on-7 competition.

The occasion is being held Friday and Saturday (July 16-17) on the multi-reason fields at the Hoover Metropolitan Complex and will highlight 32 groups from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, South Carolina and Tennessee, as indicated by the competition site.

Each group will have a program of around 25 players, said Brandon Sheppard, the competition chief. Schools from Alabama taking part incorporate Hoover, Spain Park, Pelham, Bob Jones and Southside secondary schools.

Pool play is from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday, and a section competition begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, with the quarterfinals around early afternoon, elimination rounds at 1 p.m. also, title game at 2 p.m.

Every day passes to watch cost $7 each day and must be bought online at gofan.co. Youngsters under age 5 are conceded free. Entryways are planned to open at 8 a.m. every day. There is no seating at the multipurpose fields, however visitors are permitted to bring their own seats.

The snack bar will be open, and stopping is free, Sheppard said.
