Why do you play football?
Helps me be the best version of myself (physically and characteristically) while also lifting others around me to make them the best versions of themselves
Who is your favorite sports star and why?
Vita Vey: I love big guys who play out of position, and he’s one of the best active ones out there right now
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
I always love making flashy plays like pass deflections, forced fumbles, and fumble recoveries. However, my favorite play was at the last few minutes of the game that broke our loosing streak. 4th and goal (2 yards) and they tried to run QB sneak right down the middle to me. I didn’t get any crowd credit because it just looked like a big pile, but me knowing I saved our team the game, even though no one knew, was enough to make it my favorite play.
What are your goals for this coming season?
I’d like to drop my weight to 320 for season (current 350) and I’ve started at 385. My ultimate goal in doing this is to become faster.
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
The New York Giants. Some of my friends and late friend who originally convinced me to join the team were Giants fans
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game and why?
28-3. Super Bowl LI showed that if you keep chopping, you’ll eventually get out of the forest. Consistency is key
If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?
YAY SAMMY!!!!
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
Score a game winning pick 6 in a high stakes game
What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
Being embarrassed means you care about what people think about your faults. I do not care about what people think about my faults
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Video games or hanging out with friends. I love to surround myself with people who care for me
What is your favorite football memory to date?
Defensively shutting a team down and making very good plays
What is your favorite play to run?
Weak X Blast. My ILB loves to hide behind me and almost guarantees that one of us will make the play
